“You are a great champion. When you run, the ground shook, the sky opened and mere mortals parted. Part of the way to victory, where you’ll meet me in the winners circle. Where I’ll put a blanket of flowers on your back.”
However,Dreamer is a inspired by a true story. Taking bits and pieces from the real story of Mariah Storm, a horse who broke her leg, then had recovered, made her way back to the races with success. Dreamer was not based solidly on the real story of Mariah Storm, the rest was known to be called “pure imagination.” Director of Dreamer, John Gatins, was known to take real life stories and filming them into “Hollywood hogwash.” Other films such as Coach Crater and Hardball. Dreamer today is known as of an example of “true fiction.”
Staring in the film, Kurt Russell playing as Ben Crane, a horse trainer who had financial problems. Also staring Dakota Fanning, playing Ben Cranes daughter, Cale Crane. Ben begins to realize that he is losing his job and sees his family falling apart. Cale always wanted to be like her dad. When he messed with his hat, she would do the same. Ben did not realize how much he was ignoring his own daughter. He spend more time at his job then he did with his daughter. Then after taking in a wounded horse, things began to change for the Crane family.
How was my reaction to this movie? From a view point of a teenager, I really enjoyed this film. It was very lad back, but also entertaining film. I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves horses and to a family with young girls. By the reconnecting between a father and his daughter is heartwarming.

The reason why I picked “Amazing Grace” to be my movie review was the dedication this man had. Amazing Grace is an excellent film to watch. A nonfictional story about this man wanting to end the slave trade. This film is centered around the song Amazing Grace. This song impacted the journey in ending the slave trade. The different camera shoots, lighting and the superb acting made this film very entertaining. Looking on how it affected me, it opened my eyes to the this hurting world and asking the question, how am I making a difference?
In 2006, Amazing Grace was directed by Michael Apted . A nonfictional story about a man, William Wilberforce, taking a stand against the slave trade. With all his strength and vigor, William dedicated himself to end the slave trade once and for all. With illness over taking his body, William had to take a holiday to his cousins, Henry Thornton. There staying with his cousins, William met his future wife, Barbra Spooner. With flashbacks of the past, this made William angry about what he could have done to end the slave trade. Barbra encouraged William to keep pressing forward with his goal. The next few days later, Barbra and William got married and they worked together to end the slave trade.
“Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a ranch like me. I once’s was lost, but now I’m found was blind by now I see.” One of most famous hymns of time. I believe this hymn helped end the slave trade once and for all. William Wilberforce had influenced this song. Many lives were saved through this song.
The acting in this film was superb. The main character playing William Wilberforce was Ioan Gruffudd. Also playing as his wife was Romola Garai. Excellent lighting and the different mood changing in each camera shoot made the film very entertaining to watch. They did an outstanding job making this film.
The movie, Amazing Grace, is a inspiring film. I genuinely enjoyed watching this film many of times. It had opened my eyes to history, how things were back then. It also made me look on my life and to see how am I making a difference like William Wilberforce did. Taking many dangerous steps and going through difficult times, William had never given up on his goal. How are we today, are we making strives to make a difference in the world today?

“Any child can learn to play the violin”-Roberta Guaspari
The director Wes Craven took a complete turn with his movie directing. From the horror films and screaming movies, Wes Craven decided to make an inspiration film based on a true story about a women who taught elementary kids violin in Harlem, New York. This film has inspired me by the way she never gave up but keep going even when things got tough.
In 1980 Roberta Guaspari (Meryl Streep) a mother and teacher was the main actor in the movie,” Music of the Heart”. This mother who was living under lots of stress due to her husband leaving her for her best friend, and trying to raise two boys by herself. Needing a job, she was willing to wrap presence for a living despite the fact she was a very talented musician. She went to a school for an interview for being a violin teacher. She was turned down the first interview for lack of teaching experience. She wanted the job really bad so she took her boys into the school the second time to play for the director. The director was impressed by the way her boys played the violin. She was hired then as a sub for the school.
She had to teach these elementary kids discipline and respect. She also faced difficulties during this time, with parents not seeing the value of learning music at a young age. Getting the kids to practice was another problem she faced. She was a strict teacher who wanted her students to be successful.
Ten years past and she was still in the same music program at the school. There was a big problem with the school district, not having enough money to supply the special program anymore. Roberta and the kids parents had to come up with a way to save the music program and their kids future.
Wes Craven did a wonderful job directing this film. With the beautiful orchestra music and influential story, “Music of the Heart” is a film that you can not turn down. The acting was fantastic, by the way they emotionally got into their part. One of my favorite parts are when her students are playing the violin. Just seeing their faces light up when they play. It blesses my heart. Robert Guaspari (Meryl Streep) had quoted this in the film before the kids went on stage to perform their final program, ‘I want you all to take a second and just. . . breath. Deep breaths. Now listen to me. I want you all to play from your heart. Forget about the audience, watch me, you’ll do just fin. Just play from here.[puts her hand over her heart]‘. I highly recommend this movie, its very down to earth and you will not be disappointed that you watched it. Watch and be encouraged.
